Certified Dancorcistes

Krissy Devlin

As the arts program specialist for an art as employment program for adults with DD/ID, I was thrilled to introduce Dancorcism to the artists I work with. This has become a valued tool in our kit of therapeutic activities and is supporting the artists by giving them another path to personal growth, communication, self expression, self advocacy and self-esteem. Dancorcism has been a bright sparkling highlight in my personal life too infusing my perspective with optimism and returning some lightheartedness to my life. I teach an online class open to all Sundays at 11 am CST!

Hello! It’s so nice to meet you. I’ve been a Dancorcism superfan since 2013. Dance is my love language. And Dancorcism is love. As your Dancorcism guide, my vision is to create a time, a place, a space for you to find yourself with others. We'll dance in the dance hour IRL (soon!) and on the virtual dream plane (for now!). Sebastian Sommaruga

From the moment that Dancorcism appeared in my life I felt a deep connection. Inadvertently it became a magic key that could open doors that were closed for a long time and despite the effort to open them, I could not. This teacher training has been a magic journey of self-knowledge in which I learned that through dance we can mobilize emotions that are in our body and sometimes we do not know how to express/evolve them. Through Dancorcism I seek to generate a space (virtual or real) in which we connect and become vulnerable as a community by sharing a dance time on a cosmic floor, in which we are children again, we connect with our identity, we accept it and we are filled with love.

Jen Neal

I started practicing Dancorcism in 2014 and received my Healer + Teacher certification in 2020. Dancorcism gives me the confidence to really feel comfortable in my own skin and face the challenges life throws at me in a healthy way. Through the Healer + Teacher Training I worked through trauma and grief that I unconsciously held onto for a very long time. Dancorcism brings happiness, joy and laughter to my life and I want to give that gift to others. My virtual classes focus on personal growth and sending positive energy out to the world through a really fun dance party. I love being part of the Dancorcism community and I’m thrilled to share this practice with the world. Dance with Jen the third Saturday of every month.

Ellen Donnelly

Hi! I'm Ellen and I own and operate Say Boo Studio, a dance healing space in Kingston, NY. The first time I went to a Dancorcism event, I knew I had found a dance home. I had been taking dance classes for several years and rarely felt the ecstatic joy that I did within the first few minutes of Dancorcism. When I did the healer teacher training in 2021, the process opened up a capacity for love that had been buried under shame, guilt, and fear for years. In my classes, I want to share that free love and provide a space for people to feel open in their bodies. We laugh at how good it is to be alive! I love making choreography that is fun, sexy and easy to follow and revel in the collective delight of group dance. I can't wait to dance with you! Follow me for updates and class schedules:

Leanna Scatoloni

Hi! My name is Leanna. I am a Dancorcism teacher based in New York City. Dancorcism found me in 2020 and quickly became one of the main ways I expressed love and compassion for myself on a regular basis. Dancorcism equals FREEDOM. It clears out what no longer serves you, allows you to get out of your own way and to show up for yourself and others. I truly believe we are here in this lifetime to enjoy life and have fun. I make a choice each day to live in love, joy and freedom. My wish is to create a safe, nurturing and fun space for all to celebrate life. When not dancing, I am practicing Reiki as a Certified Reiki Master Practitioner and offering holistic health counseling services as a Certified Holistic Health Counselor with a focus on Ayurvedic wisdom.

Celia Bernstein

I found out about Debbie and Dancorcism from a brief mention in a New Yorker magazine. Little did I know what I was signing up for. While I am not planning on becoming a Dancorcism Teacher, the training really helped me integrate the entirety and genius of Debbie’s Dancorcism curriculum in a very deep way. Basically it is about liberation- for ourselves, for each other and the world. Sounds corny but Fun Really Does Heal Everything. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Debbie and my Dancorcism #6 classmates. Everlasting Love. ❤️👯

Those months of dancing and sharing Debbie's teachings with an incredible circle of human beings have been one of my greatest accomplishments. Doing my dancorcism class has been so powerful that it transcends my idea of "healing".
